Which gives the best bass?

Everyone loves bass in their music. It gives the song emotion and vibe. There's many ways you can approach giving your song bass as a producer. A few common ways are:

1. Kicks

2. 808s

3. Sub

4. Bass Guitar

For most, your choice would depend on the mood or genre of the song. Hip hop tracks tend to love 808s (paired with a kick). For darker tracks, (much like the early Eminem albums), I prefer subs so the sound can be held out over a longer period of time. Bass guitar allows for more detailed patterns without sacrificing a pure sound. Kicks are great for short-impact hits. There is no ONE answer for which gives the best bass. But which is your favorite to use as a producer (or listen to as an audience)?
